Gary L. Dietterick, O.D., Comprehensive Optometry, Contact Lenses

Gary L. Dietterick, O.D. joined Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania in 1984 and has been with them ever since on a part-time basis. He maintains a private practice, Palmer Family Eye Care, near to Easton, Pennsylvania, where he does comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on treatment of anterior segment diseases, glaucoma and contact lenses. His practice at Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania is very similar, except he limits his contact lens patients at Eye Consultants to current patients because he is only available on a limited schedule. He also does pre and post-op lasik evaluations and cataract co-management.
Dr. Dietterick attended Pennsylvania State University for two years. He obtained his bachelor of science degree as well as his doctor of optometry degree at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, now Salas University, in 1975. Following graduation he spent two years in the Navy at Lemoore Naval Air Station in Central California where he performed comprehensive eye examinations on military and retired personnel and their dependants as well as fitting contact lenses and treating ocular disease. Following his military obligation, he practiced in Berwick, PA, his hometown, before moving to Easton.
Dr. Dietterick is a past officer in the Lehigh Valley Optometric Society as well as an ongoing member of the Pennsylvania and American Optometric Associations. He is a past president and active member of the Easton Lions Club, devoting time to help the visually impaired and others.
