Thomas L. Manzo, M.D., Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, Specializing in Cataract Surgery.
Doctor Thomas Manzo joined Eye Consultants in September 2011. Prior to that he practiced ophthalmology in a solo practice for 32 years in Pottstown. He has provided both medical and surgical care to his patients for his entire career in the Pottstown community.
Dr. Manzo graduated from Holy Cross College with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He attended graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania and was awarded a Masters Degree in Physics. Following that, he attended Georgetown University Medical School and then did an internship in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He studied as an ophthalmology resident at both the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania and the Wills Eye Institute from which he graduated. He opened his own practice in 1979 and continued there until he joined Eye Consultants.
Dr. Manzo received his board certification on Ophthalmolgy in 1979. He has served on the teaching staff at Wills Eye Hospital and is currently an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmolgy where he examines candidates for board certification in Ophthalmolgy in the oral component of their testing.
Dr. Manzo maintains surgical priviledges at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center and Physician's Care Surgical Hospital. His interests are both comprehensive medical ophthalmic care and Cataract Surgery.
