Leslie P. Brodsky, OD, is Vice President of Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania. Dr. Brodsky has practiced at Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania since 1978, with a special emphasis on treating difficult refractive and other pathologic entities with conventional and therapeutic contact lenses. This specialty includes the contact lens management of corneal trauma, post-surgical problems, diseases such as keratoconus and corneal dystrophies, as well as the prescription of contact lenses for infants. Contact lens modalities which may be utilized are specialized soft and rigid gas permeable lenses, hybrid lenses, piggyback lenses and scleral lenses.
Dr. Brodsky also has many years of experience in all aspects of primary eye care. This involves evaluations for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration and red eyes. He will also make sure that you receive and get directed to the most appropriate and best surgical and specialized medical treatment when indicated.
Dr. Brodsky received his B.S. degree from Michigan State University and his OD degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He completed clinical internships from the Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital in Rosebud, South Dakota. He also accomplished an advanced Optometric Public Health fellowship in epidemiology in conjunction with the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and the University of Pennsylvania.
Named one of the Top Docs in 2018 by the National Keratoconus Foundation, Dr. Brodsky is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Optometric Associations. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has presented at its annual meeting. Dr. Brodsky has served as an Examiner and Assistant Chief Examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
