Pediatric

Specializing in pediatric surgery and oculoplastic surgery in children and adults, David S. Goldberg, MD is a graduate of Princeton University and University of South Florida Medical School. He is fellowship-trained in pediatric ophthalmology by the renowned Zane Pollard, MD of Eye Care Associates in Atlanta, Georgia.

Cornea

Our cornea surgery experts, Adam J. Altman, MD, Jonathan D. Primack, MD, and Kevin J. Shah, MD are board certified and fellowship-trained cornea specialists who offer a combined 40+ years of expertise in LASIK surgery, PRK, pterygium surgery, corneal transplants, and other procedures. They are also accomplished cataract surgery specialists.

Adam Altman, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School with numerous honors, graduating in the top 10% of his class. He performed his ophthalmology residency at the world-renowned Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, and was fellowship-trained in cornea and external eye diseases at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Altman was one of the cofounders of Wills Eye Hospital’s Refractive Surgery Service.

Jonathan Primack, MD, graduated from the Washington University School of Medicine and served as an intern at Lenox Hill Hospital. He performed his ophthalmology residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He was fellowship-trained in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School and, while there, received the prestigious Heed Ophthalmic Fellowship.

Kevin J. Shah, MD, joined Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania after serving as faculty at the Cole Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Shah, a board-certified cornea and cataract surgeon, brings a variety of modern surgical techniques to Eye Consultants of Pennsylvania. Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY and completed his ophthalmology residency at Manhattan Eye and Ear Throat Hospital / New York University. He then completed a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at the Cincinnati Eye Institute/University of Cincinnati.

Abhishek Nemani, MD, who received his medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and was fellowship-trained in at the prestigious Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.

Jonathan Primack, MD, who received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine and completed a Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School.

Kevin J. Shah, MD, who received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and received his fellowship training at the Cincinnati Eye Institute at the University of Cincinnati.

Vitreo-Retinal / Macular Degeneration

Specializing in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery, including Macular Degeneration, are Barry C. Malloy, MD, Michael Cusick, MD, and Anastasia Traband, MD.

Barry C. Malloy, MD, is board-certified and completed his vitreo-retinal fellowship training at the Washington Hospital Center. He specializes in cutting-edge treatments for detached retinas, including the use of intraocular injections and surgical tools for complex retinal detachment repair.

Michael Cusick, MD, is board-certified and completed a medical and surgical vitreo-retinal fellowship at the Duke Eye Center. He specializes in vitreo-retinal disorders, including retinal detachment, macular holes, diabetic retinopathy and other conditions of the retina and vitreous.

Anastasia Traband, MD, is board-certified and completed her vitreo-retinal fellowship at the Sheie Eye Institute at the Penn Medicine Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania after receiving her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She specializes in vitreo-retinal disorders, including retinal detachment, macular holes, diabetic retinopathy and other conditions of the retina and vitreous.
